About
Hello! My name is Miriam LoweryI am a Canadian Illustrator currently residing in Calgary Alberta. I have been drawing since I was a child and I've been drawing professionally for the last nine years.I have always been inspired by Video Games, Graphic Novels, Books and 2D animation and I use those hobbies to hone my craft to tell my own stories and I am working to Publish them one day!
Currently I am the co-author and co-artist of the Graphic Novel False Lies and studying animation while I work on a few book projects with the dream to make an animated film one day!
My stance on AI:Here’s the thing. I am fully aware it is here to stay and there isn’t a whole lot I can say or do despite my feelings. However, I choose to not use AI in my work for a multitude of reasons:- I have had many friends and I know of many creatives who have had their work scraped for these models.- I am deeply passionate about protecting our environment.- The huge amount of misinformation and lies.- And finally, I am a creature of habit. I like being in control of my creative process.
